European Funding for the Third Sector
“BEEurope, Bet on European Energies” is a system of capacity building tools launched in 2017 by Fondazione Triulza in partnership with the Cariplo Foundation to give concrete support to the internationalization of Third Sector and Civil Economy organizations, to improve their capacity to access EU funds and to participate in international social innovation projects. The program means to contribute, with skills, training, information and services, to the growth and strengthening of non-profit and civil economy organisations.

BEEAgency – European Project Design Support Service
BEEAgency builds on the experience gained by Fondazione Triulza through BEEurope, its European Project Design training programme launched in 2017. Over the years, the programme has developed a strong body of expertise and an extensive network of relationships, enabling Fondazione Triulza to offer a structured European project design support service for Third Sector Organisations (TSOs).

BEEAgency is designed to improve the quality and effectiveness of European funding applications submitted by Third Sector Organisations. Within the framework of Fondazione Cariplo’s integrated European Projects Co-financing instrument, the service supports organisations in applying for co-financing from Fondazione Cariplo.
BEEAgency also helps reduce project risk and promotes co-financing as a strategic development lever rather than simply a financial requirement. BEEAgency’s objectives:
- Improve the alignment between project ideas, European funding instruments and environmental priorities.
- Enhance the overall quality of project applications.
- Support the development of strong and credible partnerships.
- Facilitate the preparation of sustainable and compliant project budgets.
- Strengthen the project management and organisational capacities of Third Sector Organisations.
Training and Information Events on EU Funding Opportunities
As part of Fondazione Cariplo’s European Projects Co-financing programme, a series of free training and information events is organised to keep organisations up to date on the evolution of European policies and funding programmes. Experts working at the European level provide insights into the intervention logic of the different funding programmes and offer practical guidance on transnational partnerships, project positioning and application timelines.
Events scheduled for 2026-2027:
- Theme 1: Environment, Climate and Circular Economy (8 June)
- Theme 2: Welfare, Employment and Well-being (10 September)
- Workshop: EU Macro Trends 2028–2034 (1 October)
- Theme 3: Social Enterprise Development (November)
- Cross-sector Workshop: Digital Transformation and Capacity Building (November)
- Theme 4: Arts, Culture and Sustainability (February 2027)
Fondazione Triulza had already launched, in 2019, a series of highly practical workshops in collaboration with CGM National Consortium and CSVnet Lombardia to help organisations become familiar with EU funding calls and the application procedures required to develop and submit European projects. EU Calls Radar for the Third Sector (2026–2027)
The EU Calls Radar for the Third Sector is a new free scouting service provided periodically by BEEAgency. It identifies and monitors the main European funding opportunities for Third Sector Organisations, in line with the thematic priorities defined by Fondazione Cariplo for the 2026–2027 period and within the framework of the European Projects Co-financing programme.
