Fondazione Triulza brings social economy and STEAM subjects to Innovation Week 2025

Fondazione Triulza participates in the MIND Innovation Week 2025 “Shapes of Innovation – L’energia delle idee” with contributions on social economy and STEAM disciplines. The social economy, of which Fondazione Triulza represents one of the clusters recognized at European level, will be the protagonist of the meeting on May 9 (09:30 – 12:00). “New Social Economy in Europe. First territorial experiments of social procurement“.

STE(A)M subjects – Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics – are instead the core of two initiatives that Fondazione Triulza is organizing during MIW 2025: the meeting “STE(A)M Women and Gender Medicine. The challenges of the interaction between science, profession and art” – May 10 (10:00 – 12:00) and the award ceremony of the School Competition “A City in MIND”, now in its seventh edition with the theme “A tutto STEAM!”.

The awards ceremony will take place on Saturday 10 May from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm and all the winning classes of the Competition and their families will be invited.

“New Social Economy in Europe. First territorial experiments of social procurement”

The meeting aims to compare various institutional levels and testimonies to identify effective actions for a new generation social economy that involves the entire economic system. It will be an opportunity to learn how the National Plan is evolving starting from the strategies indicated by the EU Social Economy Action Plan and to explore how some territories are already successfully experimenting with some actions in Italy, including social procurement. It will be organized in MIND, an innovation district with the active presence of the third sector with Fondazione Triulza and its Social Economy Cluster recognized by the EU. It will be held on May 9, Europe Day, on the occasion of the MIND Innovation Week, the Civil Week and the tenth anniversary of Expo2015.

“STE(A)M Women and Gender Medicine. The Challenges of the Interaction between Science, Profession and Art”

Saturday 10th May from 10.00 to 12.00

Women and STE(A)M disciplines is one of the themes that Fondazione Triulza and its partners have been addressing for several years. Also in the next edition of MIND Innovation Week the theme will be addressed from the perspective of Medicine and Life Sciences, with a focus on Gender Medicine. Not only to talk about the gaps in medical and pharmacological therapies but also about gender disparities in training and professional fields in the biomedical sector and the social impact that this situation generates. A moment to reflect on sustainability and on the interactions between different fields of knowledge, with a new look at the power of art and beauty in care. A meeting organized by Fondazione Triulza in collaboration with Talent4Rise, University of Milan, Human Technopole, IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi – Sant’Ambrogio and Fondazione Bracco, organizations that have been working to enhance women in STEM paths for years. As part of the ASviS Sustainable Development Festival.

MIND EDUCATION: YOUNG PEOPLE TELL THE STORY OF STE(A)M CITIES! Presentation of the projects and award ceremony of the Competition and Contests of the MIND educational path

Saturday 10 May 2025 from 2.30pm to 6.00pm in Social Innovation Academy and Auditorium of Cascina Triulza

In the MIND Education path we involve the new generations to imagine and co-design a sustainable, accessible and inclusive city of the future, also using a STE(A)M approach. On Saturday 10 May afternoon, as part of the Innovation Week and the Sustainable Development Festival, we are organizing the MIND Education awards event with children and young people as protagonists. The works of the A City in MIND Schools Competition and the Contest for high schools participating in the path of the last edition will be presented and awarded. Workshops are planned for the children and young people awarded by the A City in MIND Competition and a guided tour of MIND by Lendlease for companions and teachers. Initiative organized by Fondazione Triulza in partnership with Arexpo, Lendlease, IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi – Sant’Ambrogio and Microsoft, in collaboration with Human Technopole.
